Great Food, Great Service, Great Man

My wife and I recently decided to try Maccabee's deli for her birthday, but unknown to us our visit fell during Passover.  The level of care we received as guests that day made a return visit a no brainer.

The following week we returned with our 1 year old son and had a fantastic meal.  The owner insisted we ate inside even though he was closing soon.  He insisted that take our time to enjoy our meal and it was DELECIOUS.

The portions were incredible, he explained his menu before ordering, making sure we were ordering something we would end up loving.

Personally, we can't wait to go back!

This store is amazing, It's a deli with a small kosher grocery store, probably the only kosher store in all of Iowa, which is a huge lifesaver for those who keep kosher. The food is delicious, super cheap, and the portions are huge and fresh. I got a pastrami sandwich and a schnitzel sandwich with came with fries, all for under $25, which is way cheaper than almost any other kosher stores which would probably double for what I orderd
The owner is really nice and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is amazing

Orthodox Jewish Deli. Great corn beef & pastrami sandwich. Also a kosher grocery store do the atmosphere was not great. But talking with the Rabbi was fantastic.

Always a great sandwich! Check them out you won’t be disappointed!
